What can I give it?

Pasted text, PDFs, Word documents, plain text and CSV files, photographs of pages, audio and video recordings, or a link to an article. Several files at once are read together as one source — a chapter photographed across three pages gives you one summary, not three.

My PDF came back empty

It is probably a scan: images in a PDF wrapper, with no text layer to pull out. Photograph the pages and upload those instead — images are read by the model, which handles scans and handwriting.

Why crop a photograph?

Everything in the frame is read. A desk, a thumb and half the facing page cost you tokens and give the model things to misread. Cropping to the page is the single most useful thing you can do to a photo before uploading it.

The link would not load

Pages behind a login cannot be reached, and some publishers block automated readers. Copy the text and paste it instead.

What do the percentages mean?

How much of your plan's allowance is left this period. Usage is counted in tokens — roughly four characters of text — and a task spends them on the source it reads as well as the answer it writes, so the same task costs more on a long document. The exact figures are on the plans page.

Something failed — do I get the tokens back?

Tokens are reserved before a task runs and the unused part is returned when it finishes, so a task that never started costs you nothing. One that broke partway through has already spent what the model read, and that part is not returned. Retrying a long document is worth a look at the source first.

Can I change what a summary covers?

Yes. Choose Summarize and a settings panel appears before it runs: pick which sections you want, how deep, and who it is written for. You can add a section the list does not have. Use Settings on a finished result to run it again differently.

Can I get answers in my language?

The globe in the header holds two settings: the language the interface is in, and the language answers are written in. Answers follow the interface unless you set them otherwise, so a Bengali reader sets nothing.

What you upload can be in any language, whatever those are set to. A Bengali chapter with the interface in English gives you an English summary if that is what you asked for, and a Bengali one if it is not. The setting describes what comes back, never what you put in.

AI Translation is separate — it asks for a target language each time, because translating into the language you are already reading would not be useful.

Can I change plan mid-period?

You can move up at any time. Moving down waits for your current plan to run out its period — see Terms.
